Comparison is NOT Healthy!!!! Stay away from it…. Run as fast as you can away from it!!!! Comparison is a dangerous place to live! Be King or Queen of who you are and what direction you are going in life. Empower yourself with being grateful for all you are and all you have today. This takes some concentration or meditation. I love the talk by Denzel Washington where he is talking to a group of drama students about their dreams and goals. He tells them to put their shoes way underneath their bed at night so in the morning they have to get on their knees to get them and while they are there they better be thanking God for all they have.
Give a little more, Expect a little less, and do a little better today than you did yesterday. Where are you personally today compared to where you were five years ago? Now where do you want to be in five years from today? Write it down. Start your chapter 1 today! Then you can compare five years from today! We make progress one step at a time. We can do a little better each day, each hour. Have any of you read the book by Mel Robbins the 5 Second Rule? It is a gem!!! I love her way of getting shizz done. She suggests you say 5-4-3-2-1 blast off. Then just do it. Do one thing today that will get you closer to your goals. You are the only one that has control of your self-talk.
I was at a women’s networking group this week and one of the speakers talked about Self-talk. She defined it as what you say about yourself to yourself, and what you allow other to say about you, that you believe. I think this fits in the world of Comparison. Comparison to me is a means of disruption. It gets us out of the flow and we are not settled or free!
When we compare our body to someone else then this is the ultimate danger zone. Have you ever looked in the mirror and said, “Thank you God for giving me this beautiful body just the way it is and just the way it isn’t?” We can all work on that one! It is a must to be nice to ourselves. It is the only thing we can control. YEP! Let’s face the music…. We are the one talking to ourselves the most and we listen to ourselves as if what we are saying is true. Soooooo that must be where the line from Shakespeare comes in…. This above all: To thine ownself be true.
Back to our chapter 1: What will you do today that starts your chapter 1? Will it be standing in front of the mirror and say kind things to yourself. Will it be putting your shoes really far under the bed and getting on your knees to get them and give a word of thanks for all you have? Will it be standing up for what you believe and quit comparing yourself to the people on the magazine cover? Will it be writing your goals and disciplining yourself with consistent daily action to achieve your desires? Will it be making your bed today and not climbing back in? Will it be giving away a smile, hug or kind word? Will it be drinking plenty of water, like half your body weight in water? Will it be serving someone else for no reason? WHAT WILL BE YOUR CHAPTER 1??????
I am excited to start my chapter one! I have hired a coach. I am starting a mastermind group coaching with 10 other powerful women to enlighten our soul purpose and create magic together. I have also started an eight week program with a kick A** coach specific for my company. She was a jelly worker who went on to become a 7 figure earner in two different companies. I am determined to finish 2018 strong. Today is my chapter one. I am going to compare today to Nov 30, 2018. I will be on the lookout for your chapter one and what you are doing. Remember the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Today is your chapter 1! Believe, Become and Belong is the tagline for my company. We will do this together. We will be a little better, give a little more and expect a whole lot less.
You’ve got this! Go get em Tiger 🙂
